I live at the Vue 20 building at ***********************************, which is managed by Forth Group. In February 2021, we were told that a pipe burst and damaged the circuit panel in the elevator shafts so our only 2 operational elevators were broken/unsafe so for about 1 week we could only use the stairs. This is a 20 story building. Since February, there have been 6 or 7 instances (that I can recall) where either 1 or both elevators are not operational. Homeowners receive limited communication from management (*******************) regarding the problem and what is being done to remedy the situation. Usually the extent of communication is an email saying "the elevator is now working" (after hours of it being down) or simply saying that the elevator company (Kone) has been called and will be there "soon". Not only is this inconvenient, this is UNSAFE. As I am writing, both elevators are currently not working. Elevator #2 has been broken for over 1 week, and then Friday night (8/12) Elevator #1 went down. It took about 12 hours for it to be fixed on Saturday. As of today (Monday August 15 @ 6pm) Elevator #1 is broken again, making both elevators broken. Forth Group needs to rectify the root cause with prompt treatment and communication to residents.
