I had a nursing certification with this company. It is expensive to continue to upkeep this certification and I was unable to continue to pay for the education credits yearly and my hospital stopped paying the fees to maintain the three year fees to renew the certification. I was unable to pay the fees when it was time to renew the certification. My current boss requested that I take the test again for tenure at the University that I work for. I went on the site and started the process. It is 325 dollars to register to take the exam. I paid the amount. This is the qualifications that were outlined on their site for the Inpatient obstetric Nurse exam from the site Core Nursing Certification Exams leading to a *** Certification:The following requirements must be met to apply for the following exams: Inpatient Obstetric Nursing, *********************** Nursing, Low-Risk *********************** Nursing or Maternal Newborn Nursing certification exam: Current/active/unencumbered licensure as an RN in the US or ****** 24 months specialty experience as a US or ******** RN comprised of a minimum of **** hours Employment in the specialty sometime in the last 24 months Both practice time and hours must be met. This is not an either/or criterion.I have already had this certification and they have this information from before. I submitted a Nursey report but apparently on 10/10/2023 but the report lacked my expiration date on my license so I had to pay an additional 35 dollars to addend my application with expiration date. I had to go through an additional company to schedule the test PSI. emails came to me from PSI not NCC and it had a time for 10/30 7 am. I though it was 7 pm. I realized on 10/30 when I had missed the exam. I couldn't find on the website how to contact anyone that day when I realized at 10 am. I finally called PSI that day and was told I had to call NCC. They told me that I had to now pay an additional 125 dollars to take the exam.
