Complaint: Allscape Landscaping was contracted to start up an irrigation system and repair two broken irrigation lines (stations 11 and 14) on June 10, 2015 at 11:00am, invoice number XXXXX which was paid upon completion with a credit card a total of $551.00. 4 hours of labor were charged at $70/hr for a total of $280, 2 spring service call charged at $60/ea for a total of $120, 33 zones charged at 5/ea for a total of $165, 10 poly couplings at 2/ea for a total of $20, 20 clamps at .25/ea for a total of $5, 6ft of pipe at $1/ft for a total of $6, 1 pump charge at $25 and a discount of $70 service hour. The technician arrived around 12:10pm and began working on the system. The technician completed the job around 3:10pm was paid and left. Around 3:45pm, the system was turned on by the customer in order to water the garden. Upon turning on the system, the line that was contracted to be repaired began leaking heavily. At 4:22pm and 4:25pm Allscape was contacted with no answer and again at 4:28pm in which a message was left on voicemail to inform them that the line was still leaking heavily. At 7:14pm, Allscape was again contacted and **** from Allscape stated that the another service call fee would be charged along with labor and parts for the repair to be completed because this was a new leak not dependent on the work done. Allscape was not willing to be paid for any additional parts alone without being paid more money for service and labor costs. They insisted this was not a warranty issue on the work already completed. Allscape Landscaping was contracted and paid to fix a leak that was not properly fixed. They should have fixed the line without additional service and labor charges. They also falsified that time it took to complete the work done as they were at the residence for three hours and not four as was documented on the invoice.
Desired Settlement: The zone 14 irrigation pipe line was not fixed, therefore rendering the line useless. The work done on that line needs to be refunded. That line had 4/5 repairs therefore totaling: 8 poly couplings at $2/ea for a total of $16, 16 clamps at $.25/ea for a total of $4, 4.8ft pipe at $1/ft for a total of $4.80, 1 service call at $60/ea for a total of $60, 2 service hrs at $70/ea for a total of $140. A grand total refund request of $224.80
Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/13) */ we repaired some breaks along a fence line as requested. the customer called to say that there was still more breaks. I offered to come back out to repair the breaks for parts and labor, no service charge for returning to the property. she refused and said she wanted us to repair the other breaks for free. I explained to her that if any of the repairs we made were faulty, we would repair those for free, but any new breaks would be charged for parts and labor. she then hung up. at this point we are still willing to return to the property without a service charge and repair any additional breaks for parts and labor without any service charge to return to the property.
