BBB Customer Review Rating plus BBB Rating Overview
BBB Customer Reviews Rating represents the customers opinions of the business. The Customer Review Rating is based on the number of positive, neutral and negative customer reviews posted that are calculated to produce a score.
|Customer Review Experience||Value|
|Positive Review||5 points per review|
|Neutral Review||3 points per review|
|Negative Review||1 point per review|
BBB letter grades represent the BBB's opinion of the business. The BBB grade is based on BBB file information about the business. In some cases, a business' grade may be lowered if the BBB does not have sufficient information about the business despite BBB requests for that information from the business.
BBB Letter Grade Scale
Star Rating scale
BBB Customer Review Rating plus BBB Rating is not a guarantee of a business' reliability or performance, and BBB recommends that consumers consider a business' BBB Rating and Customer Review Rating in addition to all other available information about the business. If the BBB Rating is NR then only Customer Reviews are used for the Star Rating.

Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/31) */ Contact Name and Title: Tom ***********,Sales Rep Contact Phone: (815)275-0004 Contact Email: ************@loescherhvac.com Our customer is Steve's dad Ray ******. We installed a new Carrier A/C system for him last summer. It was not cooling right, so Carrier said we needed to reverse the position of the evaporator coil (horizontal coil in attic). We did this, it worked better for a while, then it acted up again. Now Carrier has put a bulletin out saying some of their A/C units had a rust inhibitor added to the compressors that was making the thermal expansion valves stick. Ray's unit was one of the units that had this additive in the compressor. We added Zerol Ice (an additive to counter act the rust inhibitor) in the system as instructed by Carrier. The unit has been working correctly ever since. Ray is pleased with how we have taken care of the problem. We have not billed a cent to Ray for this work as it is covered by warranty and a service bulletin from Carrier. I did mention that the attic space that his furnace, evaporator coil, and ductwork are located is extremely hot, and installing a roof mount attic fan would help with the air conditioning load and save energy in the long run. Ray has agreed to our installing a roof mount attic fan (1500 cfm) for a total cost of $600.00. I told him that his son Steve had filed a complaint against us with the Better Business Bureau. Ray said not to worry about it as Steve sometimes gets carried away in these situations (I am not upset with Steve as I know he his looking out for his dad; and Steve does live with his dad; I just wish he would have called and talked to me). I made sure Ray was satisfied with our work and that he wanted us to install the attic fan. He said he did. So as far as I know everything is okay with Ray ******. I asked Ray if I needed to speak to Steve to clear things up and he told me it was not necessary.
