Complaint: On March 31, 2015, we had quartz countertops installed in our kitchen. First, the installers informed us that the countertop would have a gap between the counter and the wall, which we would attribute to a measurement error. Secondly, the installers failed to level the end cap when installing the countertop which prevented our plumber from installing our new dishwasher. Because of this, our plumber had to adjust the end cap by removing the adhesive and then leveling the end cap. This additional time and work resulted in additional charges by our plumber to install the dishwasher. This could have been avoided if the installers had just leveled the end cap. GMD is trying to state that since the dishwasher was not in place, they do not have to reimburse us for the additional charges. They also reference the contract. However, the contract, the measurer, and the salesperson all stated that the dishwasher needed to be on site, which it was. It also states that the faucet needs to be on site, which was also the case. It does not state that they need to be in the location. Furthermore, there is no way to install the faucets without the countertop in place. Because of this wording of on site, the faucet and the dishwasher were both on site at the time of installation. We have called numerous times and left messages with the owner and only received one text message from him stating he would call us back, which he never did. We have sent an email for further clarification and would like more of a discussion but have not received a response.

Desired Settlement: Reimbursement of additional plumbing labor charges.
