My husband received a Husky 4.5 Gallon Silent Air Compressor as a Christmas gift in December 2021. We know that the air compressor was purchased at a ********** Store. I contacted ********** by phone yesterday, 05/22/2023 to inquire on how to get the air compressor exchanged in the store and was told that I had to contact the manufacture of the product which is Alton Industry. I contacted Alton Industry and left a voicemail and also sent them an email about the air compressor not working correctly. It makes a humming sound when plugged in and will not build up pressure in the tanks. I received an email response back from **************** with ********************** Industry and was told the air compressor is out of warranty in August 2021 and would need to buy replacement parts. How is that possible to be out of warranty if it wasn't purchased and received as a gift until December 2021? We are just seeking an exchange of the item at our local **********. The warranty should start at the time of purchase which was December 2021 and the item carries a 3 year warranty so by my math the warranty would be good until December ****. I have attached a copy of the Husky Air Compressor Warranty which shows it is a 3 year warranty and an image I pulled right off of the ********** website that explains to bring it in an they will exchange the item if it ever fails. This has never been an issue in the past with items purchased from **********, They normally will do an exchange as long as they have the same item in stock. Please help me in getting this item exchanged.
