One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Brought in a new Restoration Hardware duvet cover as well as a brand new custom dress shirt to be dry cleaned. When we received the dress shirt back it had an orange stain on the shoulder that was not there when my wife dropped it off, and the comforter had a staple in it. When my wife brought in the ruined and soiled items and confronted the manager today about them, he completely denied fault and accused her of stapling the duvet cover herself, and previously soiling the shirt. The manager screamed belligerently at my wife in front of several other customers and she was completely mortified and in tears. Barry-Regent not only ruined our duvet cover, and my dress shirt, but they had the audacity to publicly shame and embarrass my wife while they were at it. Unless you want your items to be ruined and then be publicly shamed by their arrogant manager, I recommend using a different dry cleaner. This establishment is clearly run by incompetent jerks.

I really hesitate to be drawn into a public debate with a customer in this way, but I hope that most people reading this will realize that there are clearly two sides to this, and that it is very unlikely that a well-established, customer-oriented business such as **********************-********************** would act as described here.In July we cleaned a duvet cover for this customer which was delivered back to them on August 4th.Today, several weeks later, the customer came into the store with the item, and showed us the staple in question. Not only do we only use staples when attaching the invoice to the packaging (never the item) , but the staple in the item was clearly much smaller than either of the two types of staple that we use. Despite it obviously not being our staple, we offered to remove the staple and fix any hole as best as possible as a courtesy. We only balked at doing this when the customer insisted that we pay for a new item, demanded to inspect every stapler in our store and threatened to call the police. At no point did we accuse the customer of stapling their own item, or scream belligerently. We offer no theory as to the origin of the staple, only that it cannot possibly be from Barry-Regent. We are still happy to remove the staple and mend any damage, at no charge, but will not agree to buying this customer a new duvet cover.As for the shirt, we took that back to be recleaned at no charge, as we routinely do for items that are not cleaned satisfactorily.Finally, Barry-Regent is a small family business with many long-time customers that would attest to the fact that we stand behind our work.
