      On April 1, 2024, I placed an order in store at ************ Ulta #*** for an out of stock item to be shipped directly to my home. The clerk charged my debit card for $66.19, which posted to my account on April 2, 2024. A second/duplicate charge of $66.19 posted to my account from ********************** #*** in *********** on April 8, 2024, the same day I received an email from Ulta that the item I ordered had been delivered to my home. I called Ulta **************** at ************ and the phone attendant advised that this issue of double charging for home delivery orders was known to Ulta and that they would audit the charges and notify my bank and the charge should fall off within 5-7 business days. I monitored my account and neither of the charges fell or was a credit issued. I called again on the day they recommended. An associate, ********, followed-up that call with an email on April 15, 2024, inquiring if the charge had fallen off. I responded that day as well as the next day that no charges had fallen off and no credits were received. Upon receiving no responses to my emails, I again called Ulta **************** at ************ on April 18, *****, and was told I would have to provide a bank statement proving the charges before an internal review panel would consider refunding the charge. I asked for a supervisor and was transferred to Aris who advised the same and that no other resolution was an option. I asked if I could black out a bank statement, removing my account number and other charges, leaving only the two Ulta charges visible and was advised that would not be acceptable. I then asked to speak to his supervisor and was advised that no manager was available but someone would call me back. I advised **** that I would be filing a complaint with BBB.

      Was talked into opening a CC for a discount. The first month's bill did not arrive. The resultant CC did not arrive. Second month's bill did arrive with a nice additional fee but did not have an account number on the bill (lots of asterisks to obscure the number). As such I was unable to pay. I called them to pay. Had lots of conversations about my card and where it was and a request to waive the fees. They waived the initial ($15) fee (but not the interest) and I paid the rest. Got another bill the next month with more late fees saying they received my payment after the next deadline. Entered more discussions on the fee structure and to make a long story short, ended up paying over $300 for a $225 original purchase and a ridiculous amount of phone interactions with managers that had no power.This business is about as close to a scam as you can possibly get. Recommend nobody ever do business with these people. They are out and out predatory.
