Complaint: I received the estimate from Chicagoland Remodeling on 8/20/2012. I agreed to the estimate and the repair to the roof and the porch was completed. The invoice number is 5275. I payed $4,400 for tear off and repair of roof and back porch. I also paid an additional $900.00 for additional plywood replacement for the roof. One year later the roof on the porch started to leak. I contacted Chicagoland Remodeling on 8/26/2013 and informed them of the leak. They called me back and had the owner ***** ********* came out and look at the roof. He only spent 5 minutes with me and he said," the job he did was good". He suggested that the water was coming in through from the siding of the windows and that I had to caulk them to prevent the leak. So, I went to Lowe and bought the caulk and sealed the windows. It just recently rained again August 30 and 31 and the roof started to leak again. I called them again on August 31 and no one called me back.
Desired Settlement: I just want the roof repaired properly or just return 1,500 dollars to get the roof repaired.
Business Response: Final Consumer Response /* (450, 5, 2013/09/10) */ The consumer indicated ONLINE that the business responded to this complaint to his/her satisfaction. He/she also stated: Myself and the representatives of Chicagoland Remodeling have agreed on repairing the issues addressed by my complaint. I am satisfied with the arrangement, but will file another complaint if repairs are not satisfactory. Thank you BBB for helping me with this process.
