My wife and I decided we needed a walk in shower unit in our home so on July 2, 2023 my wife contacted Bath Fitter via customer phone line, They came in and did a survey and provided verbal estimates and left. We called Bath Fitter because we had a prior experience with them about 15 years ago. Bath Fitter assistant called and asked us to apply for the ********************** Building Permit which we applied and obtained at our cost. This was on August 11, 2023. Nearly a week later the Permit was issued to us at a cost of $100. Bath Fitter then scheduled the installation date for around September 2, 2023 which we agreed. On the day of installation the Village inspector determined that the new shower base had a drainage pipe of "2 inches" in diameter. Our home drainage pipe was "1.5 inches" in diameter. So obviously it did not agree with the new shower base. Bath Fitter had several weeks to determine this problem. So the installation couldn't happen. The Bath Fitter installer who came to our home on September 2 (installation date) said we should expect a refund of our down payment which was $3000 within 2 weeks time). Surprising, Bath Fitter is bitterly refusing to refund all of our money with lies that we agreed to that which we never did.
