Complaint: My vehicle needed a starter and I took it to Midas. The mechanic confirmed that it was the starter. **** called me over to discuss the quote, which he did not give me in writing as I had checked off on the form I signed. At that time he stated "it would be 464.00 for a remanufactured or an additional 50.00 for a new one" plus the cost of labor. I then asked him where he was ordering his parts from and he refused to answer, all he said was" I only order the best parts" . I then asked him for the name brand of the starter and he stated" I don't know" I then told **** that I had done my own research while waiting and *** **** had a new AC Delco starter for 234.00 plus 30.00 refunded when the core was brought back. At that moment **** stated "let me look around and see what I can do". Mysteriously he found a part for 239.99. I agreed to have the work done because my car was there and would not start anyway. They charged me 119.00 for labor which was wrong, should have only been 85.00 because I timed the mechanic and they only worked on the car for 1 hour combined. The part was 239.99 and they did not take off the core charge , so I was over charged there as well, and lastly the charged 8.97 for shop parts which I didn't see anything else used other than what came in the box. For a grand total of 390.99 which really should have been around 318.02.
Desired Settlement: The difference of 72.00, thats only fair
