Complaint: We purchased a used car. The next day we contacted the company to give them a list of items that needed fixing. we made an appt. when we got it back there was no mention of what if anything was fixed. another week or so went by and the car broke down. the very thing we said needed fixing. they picked up the car. that was last wed. night. we keep getting the run around. every day we call they say the part isnt in yet. when asked to speak with whoever can explain why the part isnt in or when it will be in, we are told its against their policy to let service people speak on the phone. the service area doesnt have a phone line. we have repeatedly been put on hold for over 45 minutes, im sure in the hopes that we will just hang up. they have had the car for a week now and no part in sight. we just want what we are paying for. in the meantime i am having to pay out money to be able to have a car to drive. i want my car fixed and returned to me or returned to them and the deal ended. they also say on their website that they have an A+ BBB rating, which is not true. it is a B right now. i also noticed when checking the website after they picked up our car to repair it, that the car is still "up for sale" on the website. 3 weeks after it was purchased. also, we were not informed when purchasing that they put in a device that disables the car when you dont pay on time.
Desired Settlement: I want my car returned and repaired like it should be. i also would like compensation in the form of free gas, or something to make this better. if they want us to be happy customers. they are not starting out right.

Complaint: I bought a car from The Auto Warehouse Located on 3632 N. Cicero Avenue, Chicago. IL. on 9/26/2014 and the car lot has failed to register my vehicle to this day. I bought the car in Illinois but live in Indiana so I asked that it be registered in the state that I live in. I have paid all of my monthly payments on time for the car. I have had the car for nine going on ten months and can not drive it because it is not registered. I have gone to the BMV and they have told me that they have not received the title from the car lot and when I go to the car lot they say that they have sent the title to the BMV. I also went to the car lot to see if they would allow me to trade in the vehicle and they said that they would not do that either. They claim that the car was in bad condition; when the car is in the same condition that it was given to us. So, with that being said they sold us a bad car from the beginning, that they would not take back themselves. In that same visit the gentleman told me that they sent the title recently and that they did not physically have the title in the office, but they preceded to offer to register my car in Illinois. I just thought that it was weird because I did not understand how you can begin to register a car if you do not physically have the title and How you can register the car in a state that I do not reside in. I have been more than patient with them!!! I would like to be able to drive the car that I have been paying for faithfully for almost a year. When I went to go resolve the situation they were not willing to resolve the problem the correct way and could not answer me as to why the title keeps getting " sent back and forth". We have two cars with this place and the first car we have had for 2+ years and have not had and issue and have never been late on a payment. When we got this second car it was nothing but issues from the start. Product_Or_Service: 2004 Poniac Bonneville
Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation) If this issue can not be resolved with in 30 days then I would like to trade this car in for a new vehicle with proper registration. I would also like the money I have paid on this car to be reflected on the new car as a continuation of payment.
Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/06/30) */ Contact Name and Title: Adam ******** Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: ****@theautowarehouse.com To whom it may concern; I would first like to Thank Mr. Carey for being a loyal customer. We do really appreciate it. Since Mr. Carey lives in Indiana, the only way we have to register the vehicle under his name is to mail the Indiana DMV the title for the vehicle with his information. the DMV then contacts the customer and requests his appearance at the DMV. We reached out to the DMV and were notified that Mr. Carey was sent a notification but he never showed up to complete the process. Unfortunately we cannot control Mr. Carey`s actions. Per the DMV if Mr. Carey was to show up at the location stated on the notification this matter would have been handled in a timely manner. Today Mr. Carey was in our office and was given proof of delivery of the title to the DMV. He seemed satisfied. I hope this concludes this matter if not I would love to continue helping Mr. Carey to properly register his vehicle in Indiana as the law requires us to register the vehicle at his place of residency. Thank you. Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2015/07/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not agree with this statement because on several occasions I went to the Sheriville IN BMV Located at 1320 Eagle Ridge Drive Schererville, IN 46375. I was told that Auto Warehouse sent the title to this location twice and the BMV Sent it back to the Auto Warehouse both times with a certified letter stating that they need to send the title to the Emissions Place. They still have not sent anything and are unaware of where the title actually is at this time. At this point I will be responsible to tabs from the day of purchase to now. Each day that this problem is not resolved is not only costing me money for the tabs that are needed for this vehicle but I am paying for a car that I can not drive and run the risk of getting the car impounded. This has caused me a HUGE headache due to the fact that I have to find an alternate way to work or other destinations that I may need to go to as well. I do not find this situation fair at all and have paid for both the car as well as the insurance for a car that I can't drive without getting in trouble. I feel like there should be absolutely no reason 10 months after we bought the car that this car is still not registered. Honestly I would just like to wash my hands of this car completely. I have asked to trade the Bonneville in to get another car, so that we can start over with a clean slate. So that the title can be presented at the time of purchase and they rejected that. That is one of the resolutions that I would like. We have had nothing but headaches with this car! Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 22, 2015/08/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I am not understanding why the title is being sent to a third party, when that is not what was being told to me in the first place. I would like to be refunded for the money that was paid for this car due to the fact that I have not been able to legally register this car since the time of ownership. I have asked to trade this car in and get another one but that was not an option on The Auto Warehouse's end. At this point I would just like my money back which is approximately $3,850. I am not satisfied with this at all and I have had the car for 11 months and still not registered there should be no reason for this. It's ridiculous!!! Complaint: In February of 2012 I purchase a vehicle from auto warehouse I was on a biweekly of $225.00 I was making that payment for a short time I contact the company and ask can I switch over to monthly payment they said sure. So I went into the office around May of 2012 and switch to monthly payment plan which brought my payment to $350.00 a month. The sale rep: didn't explain anything to me and I wasn't ask to sign anything for switching from biweekly to monthly. So I am paying my note every month of $350.00 plus late fees if it was late plus $10.00 credit card fee. So on August of 2014 I call to make a payment I speak to this young lady that always handle my payments her name: is ******** stated to me that I have (4) more payments remaining and I will be done paying for my vehicle in Dec of 2014 I didn't ask for this information she volunteer it. I would have not known because I wasn't paying attention to my contract. So in my mind I am counting the months my last payment is Dec of 2014. Now this is were the game change I call to make my Oct 2014 payment and ******** inform me that they made an mistake and forgot to put it in their system that I switch from biweekly to monthly and owe them $2,513.61. So I said that's you all problem not mine I didn't make the mistake I was inform that my last payment was due Dec 2014 so I have been without my vehicle because of their mistake also the vehicle has an cutoff switch on it. So I was on the phone with her on March of 2015 and she tell me the reason they didn't catch their mistake is because their system was down so she telling me form 2012/2014 their system was down but it funny they was still taking my payment every month. It doesn't sound legit to me. I can't sale you a house or car and then inform you when you are close to your last payment and say to you by the way I made a mistake you owe me an extra $10.000 and my reason to you is my system was down but I am still receiving your payment every month Product_Or_Service: Vehicle Account_Number: BXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation) I want this to be settle even if we have to go to court their mistake is not my problem that's not the way to do business so anyway you all can help me with this dispute will be fine with me as I see it they are holding my vehicle hostage I make my living with that vehicle I am an independent contractor without that vehicle I can't make money that's the reason I purchase it. So how every you all want to handle it I am aboard. Looking forward to your respond.Thank you****** *. ****
Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/08) */ Contact Name and Title: **** ******** GM Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: ****@****************.com Dear ****** **** and BBB, Per the client, Mr. **** request on 05/26/2012 The Auto Warehouse modified customer`s payment from 225 Bi weekly to 350 Monthly. Unfortunately due to the decrease in payment amount the term (number of months) of the loan increased, we made Mr. **** aware of that fact prior to doing so. I can understand Mr. **** confusion and I would like to invite him to the office to sit with me so we can resolve this. Thank you Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/05/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) And the reason being I don't accept their response is they never tried to reach out to me and resolve this problem. As I stated before I call in X-XXXX and spoke with ******** she stated to me I only have four more payments left and I would be done paying for my vehicle of 12-2014 she didn't mention I will owe money on the back end That was mention to me when I was paying either 9-2014 or 10-2014 payment that I owe $2,152.16 that when I got upset anyone would be upset if they was told they last payment is due and you can take owner ship of your merchandise. But you call back and told something different a month or two later. last week ******** call me and told me they have a contract from 3-2012 that I sign when I switch from biweekly to monthly I ask her why I never receive a copy of the contract and I told her if you all do have a contract my signature is not own it. They just don't want to owe up to their mistake the only contract I sign was when I purchase the vehicle XX-XXXX I never sign a new contract after that one as I stated when I came into their office on X-XXXX to switch from biweekly to monthly know one explain any changes to me or giving me a new contract to sign or stated I would owe an additional 2,152.16 that would have not been a problem if that was explain to me we would not be going through this Drama!!!! but instead I was told by ******** in 8-2014 that I had four more payment left which would have been X-XXXX -XX-XXXX of $350.00 and I would be done paying for my vehicle I am not confuse nor crazy nor dumb I am only going by what I was told by ********. I just want to make my last payment of $350.00 that was due XX-XXXX and receive my title and never do business with this company again and never send anyone to do business with them . They never told me about an increase if they would have we would not be going through this mess they need to stop lying and owe up to their mistake why would I go through all this trouble I have more important things to attend to Final Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2015/06/05) */ Mr. ****, We offered you to come to the office in order to resolve this face to face with the GM. You declined . Again we are very sorry for how you feel. If you still want to try and resolve it you are welcome to come in. Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 19, 2015/06/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Here they go again with the lies know one contact me and ask me to come in and resolve this situation. But I will contact them next week to make an appointment to go speak with a GM and if I don't like what they are saying I will continue with this battle. As I stated before on 8/2014 I was told by ******** that I have four payment and I would be done paying for my vehicle on 12/2014 So I made my payment until 11/2014 that when I was told by ******** I owe an extra $2,125.60 and I ask her why you didn't mention this to me before and she said their system was down. That's their fault not mine I just want to make my last payment of $350.00 that was due 12/2014 and receive my title and go by my business her mistake is not my problem and their system being down is not my problem it's time for them to own up to her mistake and stop punishing me

Complaint: The car sales agent tell me that due to my extreme bad credit , they could only offer 29.00 percent interest, and they would finance the van internally, The car sales agent did not disclose the used vehicle had been involved in a car accident, therefore lowers the price value on the vehicle. Complaint: I put a down payment of $1200.00. After financing the auto. I was requested to make a 2nd down payment of $500.00 on july 15 2014. But I was in need of help and was offered for the payment to be divided into 2 payments of 250 July 15th and July 31st 2014. I was under the impression that my very first payment would be on August 15th 2014. But I was informed that I was one payment behind that was due july 31st before the arrangement. I was not informed that I still had to make that payment. My total down payment was $170.00 for a used pontiac G6 2006 that has a history of 2 accidents. It was sold to me with 2engine problems timing solenoid x2 oxygen sensor and cigarette lighter defected also the CD player does not work. The problem with the engine was told to me personally by their mechanic in the back of thier warehouse. I have to continue making payments of $165.00 every two weeks as if it were a band new model car. So they refuse to waiver $165.00 instead they want to extend it on my contract. Iwent out of my way to take the car 3 times to the warehouse to get it fixed had to miss 2days of work that I did not get paid for waisted gas 3 time's taking it to the warehouse and had to take a bus twice and still they did not meet my needs. And still they refuse the waiver. I think it's ridiculously unfair and I feel like I've been taken advantage of as a woman and a first time buyer. I feel someone needs to put a stop to these so called dealer's that take advantage of people's hard earned money
Desired Settlement: As a financier if I have to meet thier demands on making payments. Then we as customers have rights to. I was only asking for the waiver. But now I also want for people like me to be respected and very well informed as a first time buyer's. And to put a stop to these crooked dealer's. And I still wish to get that waiver
