I found a used car advertised on ********** from this place. Called them and talked to Salesman ****. Sent them pictures and a description of my ******** that I wanted to trade. We agreed on a trade in value.

I had a road trip scheduled to Chicago for business and decided to stop by Frankfort Auto Haus with the ******** and check out the used car. If I liked it, I would trade the Corvette for the agreed upon trade in value.

Well I get there and the ******** is sitting out in front of the building completely covered with frost (It was cold that morning). No way to check out the body or paint. Decide to take it for a drive with Salesman ****. Upon opening the drivers door I find the seat dirty and the floor board filthy and covered with leaves (EVER HEARD OF PREPPING A CAR FOR CUSTOMER VIEWING!!!...GUESS NOT). Drove the ******** and it drove fine.

Upon returning, the only thing I wanted was for the car to be brought inside, washed and cleared of frost so that I could really check the body and paint. Before Salesman **** and I started talking, another salesman, who's desk is next to the entry door, starts making ignorant remarks about 2 customers outside looking at a newer white Camaro on the lot. This other salesman then starts making comments about my ******** like "those are not original seats" (Yes they are original) and "those tires need to be replaced" (only 10K miles on the tires, try the penny test.

The next thing I know, Salesman **** is called to the side by the other Salesman. They then go back to talk to the owner who I never met. Salesman **** then informs me that the owner is not interested in the ******** as a trade as was previously stated in an email to me. Since I was prevously told that he WAS interested, I was very aggravated. Salesman **** and the other Salesman again went back to talk to the owner and Salesman **** tells me that they would only offer me half of what was previously agreed.

I left this CAR LOT immediately. In my experience, Frankfort Auto Haus does not conduct itself in an honest or professional manner.

No settlement requested. Just what to make public that, at least in this instance, this organization conducted itself in an extremely unprofessional and dishonest manner.

Unfortunately it is not possible to agree on a trade in value with out seeing the vehicle.**** asked me what the appx value might be, which I had him relay to you subject to seeing the car. Everyone has different opinions on condition. On the other hand the vehicle you came to see was as discribed other than having frost on it and the seat and floorboard being soiled but easily cleaned. Your Corvette on the other hand did have major body damage on the 1/4 panel. You told **** you had come up to see several other cars the same day,and I was wondering if you had made a purchase. I know our car had the lowest milage and lowest price of any on the market and is in mint condition,just a needed little soap and water cleanup. I also tried to call you a few minutes after you left with no responce back. I was going and still will refund you for the gas you spent to get here. ***** ******, president Frankfort Auto Haus,Inc

I am satisfied with the business response. Regarding major damage to the rear 1/4 panel of my ********* I disagree that it is "major" but it really is a matter of opinion. I appreciate the offer of a refund for gas, but will pass on the offer since I was going to Chicago anyway.
