A recent review of BBB complaints has delineated a pattern of consumer allegations against Car Outlet.
In their complaints, consumers allege that:
- They began having issues (oil leaks, check engine lights, water leaks, etc.) within the first 6 months of possession.
- The business would not do anything to correct the issue(s).
On August 24, 2016, Car Outlet provided the following plan of action currently in place:
Car Outlet claims that all of the cars they sell undergo a rigorous systems overhaul before being offered for sale. They further claim that this is true for a car with 12,000 or 120,000, all cars are conditioned using the same overhaul procedures.
Further, Car Outlet claims that cars sold through Car Outlet dealerships come with a 2 month, 3,000 mile warranty that covers all major power train systems, this includes engine, transmission, drive axle, battery, brakes, differential, starter, heat operation, muffler, fuel leaks and water pump in addition to other power train systems.
Car Outlet states that all the customer has to do is call the dealership where they purchased the car and bring the car in for repairs, if necessary.
