Complaint September 24, 2015 Horrible Experince! I had never dealt with such a bad salesperson. Walked in to get a value on a trade-in and started to tell Mr. ****** ******** the vehicle we were interested on. Well that's as far as we got, as soon as I mentioned the car and the price advertised on their advantage Chevrolet website, he said that was a mistake, Which we as consumers call, " false Advertisement." Mr. ******* got up and when on to communicate such mistake to his boss and it turns out a lot of other vehicles were showing prices that were falsely advertised, listed as September Bonus Cash. Well, not even once did Mr. ******* ask if we still wanted to proceed with the sale price, offered a different discount, or even got to give us a value on the trade in, he simply sat down and stared at us saying that it was a mistake... I guess he automatically assumed we couldn't afford the extra $3K. What ! What kind of salesman doesn't want to close a sale?,I won't Bother with this Place as the prices advertised are an ""obvious mistake"" ( quoting mr. ********
Desired Settlement I want people to be aware of their practices so they can have a pleasant car buying experience.
Business Response Unfortunately on September 23rd and 24th we experienced some technical difficulties on our website with the pricing of many of our new vehicles. As soon as it was brought to my attention our IT department went diligently to work to resolve the issue. It was resolved as quickly as possible. We understand and apologize that this caused frustration for some of our Customers. It also caused frustration with our staff and that might have contributed to ********* rush to judgment. When I was made aware of the issue I informed the Sales staff NOT to try to push for a sale as I felt that could be construed as a bait and switch tactic. That would probably explain why ****** didn't try to sell Mrs ****** the car. As a 2015 BBB Torch Award recipient for ethics and fairness we take things like this very seriously. We again apologize for any inconvenience this caused. We appreciate Mrs ****** visiting our Dealership and sharing her comments. We will use this situation to improve our processes if something like this should occur again.
Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Even though the experience is as sour as it can be, and their explanation sounds like a lame excuse, I wish not to pursue any further as I plan to do no business with Advantage Chevrolet. And just so you know, I was the one that made ********** aware of such pricess, he then, went on to communicate this to the manager, therefore, no prior warning of not pushing for sales WAS made to him. I truly hope your "technical difficulties" are resolved.
Complaint I got hom to call my insurance agent to add thi new vehicle to the insurance to find out half of the paperwork sent home with my has the wrong vin number. We called to get the paperwork fixed to be told we needed to talk to the salesman. So on Friday we called the salesman for him to say he would check into it and never call us back. Now I have all my warranty information in the wrong vin number, so if something was to happen to this vehicle they wouldn't have to cover it. The salesman had also assured me this vehicle went through a 125 point inspection with an oil change and other adjustment, to have the oil change warning to start going off four days after the date of purchase saying the oil only had 7% life left. If the oil change had been done like he said it was why is the oil life already depleted? Don't get me wrong I am happy with my new used vehicle however I am very upset with the process to get it, and the lies he told about what the vehicle has been to assure quality. This was the worst car vehicle purchase experience I have ever had, I hope no one ever has to experience this. Product_Or_Service: used car
Desired Settlement I would like my paperwork for the warranty to be fixed with the proper vin number. I would also like reimbursed for the oil change since he lied and said it was completed when it wasn't.
Final Consumer Response The consumer indicated ONLINE that the business responded to this complaint to his/her satisfaction. He/she also stated: they got in contact with me and reolved the issue
