Complaint The roofing and chimney work done by this company continues to leak. This continued leaking has resulted in damage to an interior wall of the home. Alltimate exteriors replaced our roof and repaired our chimney on 1/4/13. Since that time, the area around the roof has leaked on several occasions resulting in damage to an interior wall. The roof has a five year warranty. The company came out a few times to try and repair it. We repaired the interior wall once at our own expense. The roof continues to leak and the paint on the interior wall is coming off again. The representative promised to come out on or about October 13th and never did. Since then he has not returned my phone calls or emails. Furthermore he will not respond to my request that they repair the interior wall. The sales representative is Ryan Baxter. The invoice number was 2060.
Desired Settlement I want the company to repair the roof and the interior wall.
Complaint I have been lied to by the salesman, **** & the owner **** ******* It has been over a year & the work is still not complete. They started work on my house a year ago and I was told everything would be complete in 2 weeks. Proper estimates were not done. They left off footage on part of my roof when they talked to my insurance company. I was told by **** ****** over 2 months ago that he was sorry for everything and he was going to make certain the work was complete. He was going to get someone out the next day. I have been more than patient. He and his salesman **** both lied to me. Gutters that were supposed to be put on my house have been lying in the yard and by the car port now for almost one full year. The car port was supposed to have been replaced. It still has not. The patio that was replaced leaks every time it rains. Both patio and car port were damaged due to a hail storm we had in March of 2012. I am beginning to think because I am senior citizen they think they can run over me. I was told they guarantee satisfaction. They have displayed to me they do not care. I would have never guessed an owner of a company would lie to the customer like I have been lied to.
Desired Settlement Refunded in full for what has been done and a receipt saying paid in full so I can go out and get a legitimate and professional company to do the work.
Business Response **** ******* is correct that it took a long time to get the work complete. The reason for that is dealing with her insurance company was difficult. They would not return calls or emails for months at a time and we cannot move forward with work if it is not approved. The way insurance works is they send out an adjuster who determines the scope of work. When we get to the job and the linear feet are off we have to supplement the insurance which does take time but, her insurance company is not one that we usually deal with and would not contact us back. As of 8/16/2013 all work is complete and **** ******* has paid in full. We do realize the job did take a long time to complete but, we did not collect any money for work we had not completed. The only payment she made to us in the beginning only covered material and part of the labor on the roof. We did not collect in full until all of the work was finished.
Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They are pointing fingers. They would not return my phone calls and when they finally did, it was after I turned them over to the BBB. I told them several times I had received payment from my insurance company and even faxed them the copies of the checks. I have never dealt with anyone that had to have the dollar amount of what the insurance company sent me before they would move forward. And even after they received the copies I faxed to them they still would not complete the job. They ignored me. Very, unprofessional and I would not recommend them for anything. The paint on the support rods for the carport is already starting to chip off. We were even told by **** they would work within the amount the insurance paid me and exclude the $500 deductible. That did not happen.
