    I moved in 08/03/2022 so from 08/23-09/23 I was on a month to month lease and the lease was not in affect until 10/01/2023! I never terminated the lease because it never started! On 09/12/2023 I called and stated I could not afford to stay there anymore prior to the lease going into effect which the lease was for 10/01/2023 I moved out and forfeited my security deposit of $1050. There were no damages and a few things left to be cleaned out which should have been covered by my forfeited security deposit. The property manager ***** threatened that my credit would be affected even though I paid a prorated amount of $385 and moved out before the next payment was due. There should be no reason I owe anything. I checked my credit today and seen a collection balance of $2780 for Kinley Property apts. I contacted her to tell her that I cant live there anymore! They cant just charge me money that I do not owe. I packed everything I could along with my 4 children INSIDE A VAN and left! I could not obtain steady employment and I communicated this with her and she told me the owner isnt going to like this and is going to find something to charge me with. That is exactly what they did! This is a violation of FCRA!A fair resolution would be to clear me of this debt and remove it from my report I was not evicted and I forfeited $1,050 to take care of the remainder of the clean out as well as paid $385 on the September 1st 2023 for the prorated time I was there! I moved out 09/12/2023! I told her that a week before I was leaving that I could no longer afford it and that I would need to leave. I can see if it was past October when the new lease started but it was not! And I was indeed out before the beginning of the new lease!

    This company runs ************************** and advertises units as "available for immediate move in". I applied for a one bedroom. I got approved and gave my security deposit for a tentative move in date of 07/01/2022. I was given an address upfront and then without notice; I was given another address. No one from the office told me this. *********** told me this as I was transferring my utilities on 06/18. 2 hours before I was going to sign my lease, I got a call from management stating that my unit wasn't ready. I had all of my things in boxes and a moving truck lined up for the next day. I was told that someone would call me the following week. I had to call the office on 07/06 to check status because no one had the courtesy to call me. I was informed my unit has roof damage and they had no idea of when it would be fixed. I was offered another unit-with no move in date! On 07/11, I show ** in person-looking for answers. (I drove around to look at my unit. The vertical blinds were down; just like they were on 06/30 when I drove by-meaning-maintenance has not touched my unit.) I got no answers from the leasing office. No one apologized. I wasn't offered a 2 bedroom. I just requested my money back. Now I have to contact the post office, DMV; etc with updated information. What a waste of my time and application fee. I also got renter's insurance on that unit. I have boxes everywhere in my current place and I need to be out ASAP. Please-don't waste your time. I think it was a sign that I wouldn't like it there anyway.
