Company abandoned the project in the middle of construction, wrecked lawn and ruined sprinkler system without us letting know and denied repair
We regret paying this company full from the start, cost $30K+. Thought they were reliable because they were recommended by a friend but was I wrong!!!! It became difficult to work with them through out the project after receiving payment. After digging and stating construction, owner decided to pull out all workers because they landed a bigger project that we had to practically beg them to send workers back to resume the work. Owner called us names and were very unprofessional. All we wanted was for them to deliver on what they committed and have already been paid for. They sent 1 person to finish the rest which resulted many months of delay, obviously did not deliver on target period. Installed the wrong color of travertine: tan instead of gray which what was on the contract. It became a frustrating experience, very unpleasant. It didn't stop there, there's more after the helper left. There were open and hanging electrical lines, broken pipes, wrecked lawn, premises and surrounding areas were left a mess from construction, no clean up whatsoever. Not acceptable as these were health hazzards asvwevhave children playing around. After winter when we were ready to turn on sprinkler system, found out construction destroyed system and we weren't even notified., had to learn the hard way... Lawn maintenance company proved the destruction leading to the construction area causing $1k to repair and Sunmar denied request to fix. This excludes the cost to also repair the rest of the lawn they weren't even suppose to use but was damaged nonetheless, parked the truck on the lawn... Refused to apply sealant on stone nor level the dirt around the walkway. It has been a painful experience, so hope this review would caution other families not to go through what we did. We were fooled as they seemed good in the beginning, but that was the extent of what was good. I rarely make time to write reviews, hope this helps new clients decide.

Cover sprinkler repair costs, apply sealant to finish and level dirt on lawn to mirror how it was prior to construction.

********** I'm sorry you feel that way. You did pay upfront for the project of $25,150.00 but because you wanted to pay upfront with your ****************. Our contract We always answered emails and text and we did not abandon your project. We have different crews and there was always someone there. We even worked on thanksgiving and you asked us to leave at noon. We started your project on Nov 14, 2014 and completed it by Dec. 13th. You contacted us to fix the fire pit (joint cracked) and it was fixed by Dec 18th. We asked you not to use for a couple days but you used it right away. Contract stated 20 working days weather permitting. During those days we had rain and cold weather that would not permit us to work. Even if it rains one day, we need to let the soil dry and it can take a couple days. About the low voltage wires for outdoor lighting they were buried but not to your satisfaction so we came back out and buried them even more. Contract states that lawn will be affected and we did put in new sod, seed and straw and both you and your husband were satisfied with the sod and amount of seed and straw. Lastly, the contract clearly states that repairs to any irrigation are not included. About the travertine we told you from the beginning that we do not seal it because it becomes very slippery. Color was not on contract and selection was made based on pictures shown. We did everything on our end to make you happy and the last time we were at your house was on December 18th. I find this complaint very surprising as your husband contacted us in March 2015 so we could do some stone work for him.
