BEWARE of their Laser Treatments!I had a very bad experience and wanted to share, because no one should have to go through this. At my first laser hair removal session, the person doing it accidentally shot the laser directly into my eyes (within 2 feet distance). Fortunately, I was wearing the protective glasses. Nevertheless, everything seemed shinier afterwards and I eventually started having moderate headaches (I dont normally suffer from headaches). That evening, my left eye starting hurting. I freaked out and went to see an emergency Ophtalmologist. She didnt find any superficial damage and told me to schedule a full eye exam, which took some time. After that, I contacted the owner and told her over the phone the experience I had. I also mentioned the lack of professionalism of the person doing the treatment (not everything was discussed in the initial consultation, I had to call afterwards to clarify several points; I had to fill out a form with medical information prior to the treatment, which she didnt even look at; she looked disoriented in that room and just said that was not her usual room; etc.). She said she was so sorry, she was going to refund me that session and also offered to cover the costs of those Ophtalmologist bills. She even offered a $100 gift card on top. I was supposed to send her the bills after I had my full eye exam and she was going to write me a check. I thought to myself, Ok, at least she is taking accountability and provides a good customer service.But then, after I had the eye exam (which thanks God showed my eyes looked fine) and sent her the 2 bills I never heard back from them. I emailed them to follow up on it. And the owner called me with quite a different tone to let me know that she had contacted the laser hair removal machine manufacturer and asked about the incidence and that they told her there was no way I could have had any damage based on the story. She insisted my eyes were ok based on that and that she shouldnt have to pay for those bills. She then said that the lady doing the treatment had told her that she didnt shoot into my eyes. She refused to return the money of that session as well, insisting that those services were already provided. I was very surprised... I learned my ****** the hard way: for sensitive treatments such as those involving laser, better have it done at a professional dermatologist praxis, by a certified dermatologist. There is so much that can go wrong in the hands of someone lacking proper training. As for their customer service, I find it very unusual. But everyone is different and it is what it is. All I can say is, karma matters.
