Complaint
Business stated no charge just to check car. Could fix it myself if I wanted to.
I spoke with a man at Locust car care who I'm later told his name was *****. I first asked what was the charge to do a pressure test and flush my cooling system. He responded by asking me what the car was doing and I said I thought it was running a little hot. He asked me why I thought that and I said because the clutch fan stays on all the time even at highway speed. The only time the fan is not engaged is when its below 79 degrees outside. I told him I flushed it myself several times but, that I was referred to them by a friend who said they were really good. He told me to bring it down and they would look at it and tell me if it was leaking and in the same sentence said there was no charge to check it and they would even tell me what was needed and I could to the repair myself that I didn't have to have them fix it. He said you can't get a better deal than that. I said no I dont' think so. He said I'll put you in touch with the front and they can schedule it for you. This was on a Friday and it was a girl who scheduled it for 8 am on Monday morning. She didn't mention a charge so I told her the man I just talked to said there was no charge and I asked her if that was right. She said if that what he said then I guess that's right, I wouldn't know about that. I said can I just leave the car that night and she said that would be fine that people do that all the time. They called me Monday and said that the radiator was cracked and what it would cost for them to repair it if I wanted. I said I would call back to let them know. I called them back and told them I would just do the work myself. The man talked for a long while and said he saw me in that car about everyday. He said he lived just around the corner from me somewhere. Anyway he said he would get it ready for me to pick up. When I got there the key was not in it. I looked everywhere. I told my daughters boyfriend who took me to get it that I would just have to call them in the morning. Well today I call and a lady told me there was a 25 dollar charge. I told her that I was told that there wouldn't be a charge and she said well I don't know what to tell you, there IS a 25 dollar charge to pick it up. I said ok and we hung up. After I thought about it a minute I thought I want to know why they want 25 dollars when the man told me no charge. At that point it wasn't about the 25 dollars but why someone told me no charge. The lady who I talked to said she was the owner and that there was a 25 dollar charge if I wanted the car. I told her that someone there had told me there was no charge to look at it and that I could find out what was wrong with it and fix it myself if I wanted. I said I thought that sounded too good. She said well IM THE OWNER and it doesn't matter who told you what. I said yes it does. She has already made me so mad to the point it wasn't about the 25 dollars anymore. I told her that I wanted to talk to the man I spoke to from the beginning. She said she didn't know who it was and that it didn't matter anyway. I told her I'll just come and get my car anyway and she said just see how far you'll get. We argued and I hung up. I called back and spoke to ***** who told me pretty much the same thing she did and I said I'll just file a complaint on you with the BBB. He laughed and said you think that scares me. I told him that's no way to run a business and I hung up. I called back just long enough to ask the woman owner her name for this report and I hung up. As I was writing this she called back and said I hope you write a good complaint because I'll sue you for slander and defamation of character. I said at that point so what and then I hung up on her. And here I am writing this.

Desired Settlement
Forgive the 25 dollars (that wasn't a charge to begin with) and apologize. Even if I have to pay the 25 dollars I still want an apology. It's not about the 25 dollars anymore. Good business people shouldn't act that way.

**** *** made a appointment to get his car aligment and he needed Ball Joints .upper and lower we then went on our ******** computer gave him a quote we charge 45.00 to check out his car . we told him if we did the work he would get credit back for the 45.00. He said he only wonted us to tell him what was wrong and his uncle was going to do the work. he did not wont to pay our comoany for the time we spent on checking his car out . I told him we had a 50.000 investment in equipment and the employees time .
