Programs

Since 1984, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin, Inc. has provided a home away from home to more than 34,000 families from Wisconsin, 48 states, and many countries around the world whose children are receiving medical care from Children's Hospital of Wisconsin or other local hospitals. We allow families to stay as long as needed without any financial obligation. We have 38 guest rooms and continue to be at full occupancy. As a result, we are planning an expansion that will double our size so we can serve more families who need a place to stay. We offer private rooms and bathrooms for each family, home-cooked meals provided by outside organizations, a playroom, secret garden with a playground, patio, and healing waters, quiet solitude of a chapel, art therapy, dog therapy, a computer lab, a tutoring program, a game room and monthly performances by local musicians. We are open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. A team of over 500 volunteers, including our Board of Directors, tirelessly help us keep the house operating smoothly and efficiently. The Ronald McDonald House is more than a place to stay; it is a place for family and community to reach out to one another and offer comfort and support.
