Programs

              

Family Promise - Salt Lake is an interfaith organization mobilizing faith communites in the Greater Salt Lake area to help provide shelter, food, and all other basic provisions to homeless families. Each faith community opens their doors to four families at a time for one week at a time. At the end of the week, all four families move to the next church on a rotation schedule with each church assisting approximately 1 week each quarter. At the Day Center, families receive intensive case management, advocacy support, access computer, kitchen, laundry, storage facilities. Familes utilize the Day Center address to establish residency, to receive mail, and to list on various housing, job, or other application forms as they seek to regain housing. Once families are housed, FPSL operates a Housing Retention Program and continues to case manage and support families for up to two years post-shelter so as to prevent any relapse into homelessness. FPSL is a faith based organization however client's face no religious requirements to receive our full range of services.
