Hospice of Green Country, Inc. (HGC) meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.

For 25 years, Hospice of Green Country (HGC) has offered specialized care for people who are no longer seeking a cure for terminal illness. At the heart of its mission lies the belief that hospice services should be made available to all people regardless of age, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, terminal diagnosis, handicap or ability to pay. The goal is to maintain or improve the quality of life for individuals and their families with a primary focus on providing palliative care and pain/symptom management. Under guidance from each patient's physician, the HGC care team comprised of physicians, nurses, hospice aides, social workers, counselors, chaplains and volunteers provides care for the patient and family. A patient's physical, emotional and spiritual needs are supported in the comfort of their own home, allowing the patient an opportunity to be surrounded by friends, neighbors, and loved ones during their final days. HGC provides hospice care to patients without resources through Courtesy Care funding generously given to the agency by individual donors, companies and foundations. Additionally, HGC provides at least 13 months of enhanced bereavement care to families after patients’ deaths. HGC also has a corps of volunteers as well as innovative programs to address other end-of-life patient needs through our Live Alone, Pet Peace of Mind, and Brazos Abiertos programs.

For the fiscal year ended December 31, 2012, HGC's program expenses were:

Programs 1,641,623
