Programs

              

NextStep for Life, Inc. is a not-for-profit offering residential, vocational and community supports to residents of Jefferson County who have a developmental disability. To be eligible for services, a person must have a mental and/or physical disability that began before age 22 that is likely to continue indefinitely, and results in two or more of the following major problems: living and working independently, talking, self-direction, learning, walking, and self-care. Residents and families who have family members with developmental disabilities such as autism, Cerebral Palsy, Congenital Disabilities, Down Syndrome, and Epilepsy (and other siezure disorders), are eligible for services.
