Programs

              

Free kidney health screenings targeted to those most at risk, including individuals with a history of diabetes or hypertension; African, Asian and Hispanic Amercians; and the elderly. Emergency Financial Assistance for low-income dialysis and kidney transplant patients, to pay for utilities, food or medical equipment. Educational brochures on topics related to kidney and urinary tract diseases and organ transplantation, including: treatment options, living on dialysis, renal ("kidney") cookbooks, organ donation, bed-wetting, kidney stones, etc. CME / CEU Accredited professional medical symposia on topics releated to kidney disease. Community Education, including Kidney Care, a 45-minute presentation for middle school students that stresses the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices. Patient Events, including a summer picnic, a holiday party and Cardinals Baseball games. Funding for medical research aimed at preventing kidney disease and improved patient care. Funding for equipment used in non-profit dialysis facilities. Support of "kidney camps" and the U.S. Transplant Games.
