Since 1979, Crider Health Center (formerly known as Crider Center for Mental Health) has had a long and rich history of providing mental health services to the citizens of Lincoln, Warren, St. Charles, and Franklin Counties, serving over 220,000 children and adults with serious mental illness as a community mental health center. Crider Center’s primary clientele are underinsured and uninsured adults, children, youth and families who are at or below poverty level and are affected by persistent mental illnesses and serious emotional disorders. Crider Center has been the safety net provider of mental health services for over 28 years, including treatment, prevention, and programs to help children, youth and adults lead full, productive, healthy lives. Mental health services provided include: psychiatry and medication management, care coordination, school-based mental health services, school-based mental health promotion and prevention programs, 24-hour mental health crisis services and independent living, community support, rehabilitation and employment support services for people recovering from mental illness.
