Programs

              

Catholic Charities--Archdiocese of Saint Louis is one of the largest private providers of social services in the state of Missouri. Organized as a federation, Catholic Charities is comprised of 8 agencies offering more than 100 programs to benefit, on average, approximately 157,000 poor and impoverished people annually. Catholic Charities agencies and 5,803 volunteers are dedicated to serving children, women, and men in ten counties in Missouri as well as St. Louis City. Catholic Charities serves a wide range of disadvantaged populations: dependent, abused and neglected children; unemployed or homeless adults; parents and children requiring family counseling; people struggling as the result of drug abuse or alcoholism; senior citizens with special needs; economically disadvantaged people; and many more. As one of the 8 Federation agencies, Catholic Charities itself operates Centralized Administrative Services to benefit each of the Federated member agencies. This includes MIS support, Human Resources, Financial Services, Quality Improvement and Accreditation, Regulatory Compliance, Development and Creative Services, Spiritual programs, and Advocacy. The organization also provides programs to benefit clients directly. The Housing Resource Center provides services for the homeless and near homeless as well as providing financial counseling and education to individuals throughout the community; Catholic Legal Assistance Ministry provides free legal help to individuals in need; Refugee Services provide comprehensive resettlement services to new Americans; and six Community Outreach Sites provide direct aid, health and social development services, counseling, case management, job readiness and education, and parent/child services.
