Programs

              

Bootheel Counseling Services serves as the State of Missouri’s Administrative Agent for mental health services for Mississippi, New Madrid, Scott and Stoddard Counties. During the past 33 years Bootheel Counseling Services has expanded from basic counseling services to a variety of different programs. We provide outpatient mental health services for adults and children. Those services provided include Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program, medication management services, outpatient counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation, employee assistance programs, information and educational services, crisis response services, juvenile justice project, treatment family homes program, intensified Targeted Case Management Program for children and youth and a Targeted Case Management Program for adults. In 2008 it served approximately 2,700 individuals experiencing a serious emotional disturbance or a serious mental illness who reside in Mississippi, New Madrid, Scott and Stoddard Counties.
