St. Louis Earth Day is a year-round organization whose mission is to facilitate relationships that make large-scale environmental action possible. Its current programs include the St. Louis Earth Day Festival, the oldest and largest Earth Day Festival in the Midwest; Recycling On the Go, an event greening program that annually reaches one million event attendees across the St. Louis region and diverts 40+ tons of waste from area landfills; and a Water Symposium that provides sustainability education for governmental officials and the professional community that serves them. In 2011, it is planning on launching a restaurant version of ROG in two pilot areas: the City of Maplewood and the South Grand Community Improvement District.
