Over ten million workplace injuries occur in America each year producing three million disabling injuries, five thousand deaths, with $70 billion spent annually on workers’ compensation benefits and $500 billion in actual costs to American businesses. Kids' Chance of MO recognizes a forgotten group that also suffers, which are the dependent children of the injured worker. Since 1995, over $1,000,000 has been raised and over $900,000 awarded to over 400 scholarship recipients. Donations come from money raised statewide by: fundraising events, individual donors, corporate matching funds, and corporate donations.
