Programs

•Foster Care: This program allows orphans to wake up each day in a home, rather than an institution. CHI provides training, oversight, and supplies for in-country foster parents, ensuring that orphans will receive the nurture than cannot be easily obtained in an orphanage setting. •Medical Services: Through this program, CHI reaches out to orphans who are in dire need of medical assistance. Each year, it sponsors dozens of surgeries to correct such issues as congenital heart defects and cleft lips/palates, and also provide medicine and special needs equipment to orphanages. •Education Services: As they age out of the orphanage systems, mere survival becomes a struggle for many orphans. Education programs are the key to preparing these children to enter society with the skills and knowledge they will need to live a life of dignity and purpose. •Nutrition Services: These programs provide life's basic essentials - adequate food and clean water - to vulnerable orphans who would otherwise go hungry. •Material Aid: Through these programs, it supplies daily necessities such as diapers, appliances, and clothing and bedding needs. On a larger scale, it is able to make building improvements to orphanages (including improvements to make facilities safer and more accessible to children with disabilities) and construct playgrounds. •Emergency Relief: These programs provide assistance for victims of natural disasters and other tragic events.

For the fiscal year ended December 31, 2006, CHI's program expenses were:

Programs 9,788,216
Total Program Expenses: $9,788,216
