Programs

              

Counseling - Adults – increase emotional well-being and functioning of clients 18 years of age and older. In 2007, 2,186 clients received service. Counseling - Children – outpatient counseling for children and their families that facilitate a safer, more stable, nurturing family environment. In 2007, 483 clients received service. Addictions Services– interrupts pattern of addictive behavior with alcohol/drugs/gambling. In 2007, 151 clients received service. Men Ending Domestic Violence – helps perpetrators end their use of violence and abuse in intimate relationships. In 2007, 351 clients received service. Life Crisis Services – provide a 24 hour telephone hotline for individuals to prevent suicide and intervene in crisis. In 2007, 109 clients received face-to-face service and responded to 33,035 crisis calls. Clinical Case Management – Transitions to Work for Youth provides intensive case management services, work readiness training classes, job placement, mentoring, substance abuse assessment and treatment, mental health assessments and counseling. Project Re-Connect provides intensive case management services and a mental health evaluation to all participants in collaboration with other community agencies. The SWIFT Program provides intensive case management services, financial literacy classes, job placement and retention, mental health assessment and counseling. In 2007 450 clients received service. Families for Safe Environments – helps parents/youth who have been exposed to violence or abuse get the tools they need to build a safe and healthy future. In 2007 322 clients received service. Community Services – Four neighborhood focused after school programs. One in Jennings in St. Louis County and three in north St. Louis City. The three case management programs provide assessments, outreach, referrals, training, job placement, coaching and counseling to ex offenders, TANF recipients and out of school youth. In 2007 1859 clients were served directly and 45 indirectly. Shreve Neighborhood Center – an after school programs for youth, ages 6 to 18 which offers a safe haven to receive help with homework, participate in crafts projects, an educational reading program and a special teen pregnancy prevention component. Heritage House – ensures the safety of children and adult family members by providing court ordered professional supervised visitation and safe custody exchange. In 2007, 438 clients received service. Employee Counseling Service – contracts with corporations to provide pre-paid Employee Assistance Program services. In 2007, 368 clients received service. ProvidentCare – home care services to persons who can no longer care for themselves independently. In 2007, 86 clients received service.
