Programs

              

The Missouri Botanical Garden is a cultural tourist attraction in the city of St. Louis featuring 73 acres of display gardens and historic structures. Highlights include the Climatron domed conservatory, which houses a tropical rain forest; the Japanese Garden Seiwa-en, one of the largest authentic Japanese strolling gardens in North America; the William T. Kemper Center for Home Gardening, including 23 residential-sized display gardens; the Doris I. Shnuck Children's Garden: "A Missouri Adventure", and Tower Grove House, Garden founder Henry Shaw's original Victorian country residence. Visitor services include public and private guided walking tours, seasonal narrated tram tours, a gift shop and cafe. Special events, exhibits and activities vary throughout the year. The Horticulture Answer Service, HortLine, PlantFinder online database, Plant Doctor desk and Master Gardner speaker' bureau offer information for home gardeners. Educational classes are offered for youth and adults.
