Performance and education activities include: local and regional touring productions for school audiences; mainstage productions for schools and families; new play development; classroom residencies linked to curriculum; summer arts programs for young people ages 4-14; professional development workshops for educators; and, community-based Theater for Social Change programs, including after-school workshops. Metro Theater Company reached a total audience of 38,933 during the 2007-2008 season, and has served a total audience of nearly 2,000,000 since 1973.
