Programs

The Cat Network's principal program service is to rescue kittens and cats that for any reason do not have a safe home and to make sure these cats are treated for any illness or injury. The rescued cats are taken to one of our affiliated veterinarians where they are tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, given all age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered (if old enough), micro-chipped and then placed in a foster home to receive ongoing care and socialization (and behavior modification if necessary). When these steps have been successfully completed, the cat is ready to be adopted. There are three regular adoption days every month and many of the adoptions take place in the foster parent's home. On occasion, a special adoption day will be scheduled. The Cat Network is an all-volunteer organization and everyone works from their homes.

For the fiscal year ended December 31, 2005, CN's program expenses were:

Vet charges 28,973
Building Fund 952
