Programs

              

William Byrd Community House offers the following programs and services: Family Support and Emergency Services helps individuals and families resolve immediate crises such as eviction or loss of utilities, and provide lasting value through case management services. Children's Services provides nationally accredited, subsidized, low-cost, quality early education and childcare for children, ages 3-12, from low-or-no income families. Among the innovative components: case management services for the family of each child enrolled, and an emphasis on avoiding childhood obesity through healthy eating habits. Youth and Young Adult Services helps young people, ages 18-21, learn the skills to succeed in the workforce. The Grace Arents Library and Education Center features a library, computers, enrichment classes, the Grace Arents Community Garden, the Byrd House Market and the Byrd House Farmlet.
