Programs

              

Started in 1980, HomeAgain provides safe and clean housing along with best practice supportive services for homeless families and individuals in metro Richmond. These services include individualized case management, permanent housing placement, money management, counseling, employment search, as well as, tutoring and enriching activities for children. Last fiscal year, HomeAgain provided housing, services and nutritious meals to 233 single adults, 83 families and 156 children to whom we offered 44,162 bed nights. We operate a Men’s Emergency Shelter, Espigh Family Shelter, and transitional housing programs for veterans and families in a variety of compositions. With a strengths-based approach, respect for the dignity of the person in crisis and a focus on client accountability, HomeAgain has a 76% success rate moving clients into permanent housing. In addition, beginning November 2009 HomeAgain was chosen from a competitive application process to be the lead agency for implementing Rapid Re-housing programs in the City of Richmond and Chesterfield County. These new programs enable qualified clients to be entered into permanent housing quickly, with the help of a Housing Specialist, case management and rental subsidy. HomeAgain's comprehensive approach offers new hope, new skills, and new life for those experiencing a housing crisis.
