Every day homeless women and children in Henrico County, VA endure the struggle for safety, security and self-sufficiency. Since October 2000, Hilliard House has been a place of hope, support, and education where residents can begin their transition back into society and live a productive life. The agency serves children from infancy to adolescents. Many children that come to live at our facility are struggling socially, emotionally, and academically. To foster healing, Hilliard House arranges mentoring programs, reading and art education, entertainment and social activities that engage the children and their mothers, in community programs and events.
