The Henrico Christmas Mother program assists moderate to low income families, elderly, and disabled individuals in need at Christmas with food, new clothing, books and toys. In 2011, we served 1,978 families including 6,069 individuals.

**According to the organization, the by-laws of Henrico Christmas Mother give the Executive Committee the authority to transact business on behalf of the organization. The Council President works with appropriate Executive Committee members and other Council members to ensure that executive functions are being adequately performed. In all cases, the Council President seeks the consensus of the Executive Committee prior to taking any material action impacting the business of the organization. The Council President’s performance is reviewed annually by the immediate Past President and current Treasurer to ensure that her leadership in performing traditional CEO functions is in keeping with the mission and best interests of the organization. A written evaluation is presented to the full Council for comment at the Annual Meeting in February. The organization employs a part-time administrative assistant who performs bookkeeping and routine administrative duties.
