According Heart Havens' audited financial statements for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2014, the ratio of fundraising expenses to related contributions was higher than the 35% required by Standard 9. However, the organization has provided additional information to BBB demonstrating reasonable use of funds, including a trend in increasing contributions and a current-year budget indicating a significant adjustment in fundraising costs. Based on Wise Giving Alliance's application guidelines, BBB is comfortable reporting that Heart Havens meets the requirements of Standard 9.
