Programs

Gateway’s Life Skills and Education Program fulfills its mission within three structured residential settings. When residents are ready for increased independence, they move to supervised apartments on campus. In these settings residents continue their involvement in healthcare education; they are also provided with individual counseling, vocational rehabilitation, and educational services so they can live more independently, find employment and/or return to school and rejoin the community. In Gateway's third residential setting, individuals graduate to their own housing in the community. Residents continue to receive Gateway's support through psychiatric counseling, transportation to medical/psychiatric appointments, and assistance with employment as needed.
