Celebrating its 35th anniversary, Circle Center is among the region’s and the Commonwealth’s largest and longest established providers of licensed day care for older adults and respite for family caregivers. Every day, the Center works toward a vision of Richmond being a supportive community where older adults and their families can live together with purpose and dignity, at an affordable cost, for as long as possible. Services for participants include nursing care, therapeutic activities, personal care including bathing if needed, dietary services (breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks), social work services including support groups and individual counseling, specialized Montessori-based dementia care, a dedicated wellness program, sensory stimulation program and, transportation and rehabilitation coordination. Respite, educational programs, individual counseling and support groups are provided for family caregivers, 70% of them employed full or part-time.
