Programs

              

The Villa’s current services include: Educational services, including the Dooley School (serving as many as 100 students with emotional and/or behavioral challenges), the Sarah Dooley Center for Autism (serving approximately 20 students with autism), and Brook Road Academy (serving forty students who benefit from a smaller educational setting). Therapeutic Day Treatment services for up to 45 children daily. The Day Treatment staff also provides intensive, in-home support to these children and their families. Supportive Case Management Services to adults who need supports for daily living activities. The Villa’s Day Support Services program provides after-school care daily to approximately 40 children ranging in age from 5-22 years. On the weekend, up to 14 children can stay with us in our Respite program, thus allowing parents to have valuable time for themselves and other family members. The Lewis Children’s Center operates both a full-day and after school child development center for up to 100 children daily ages six weeks to 14 years. The Flagler Home houses up to 20 homeless mothers and their children, and the Flagler Community Services program helps with an additional 24 families in the community. The Flagler Housing Resource Center in Petersburg Virginia offers prevention and rapid rehousing services to the Petersburg community. The Villa’s Hollybrook Apartments provide residences for handicapped adults. The 60 residential units on campus are always full. In total, St. Joseph’s Villa works with more than 500 children and their families each day. One third of these children receive more than one service from the Villa.
