Programs

              

Prevent Child Abuse Virginia serves families and organizations which work with families through direct service programs, educational opportunities for individuals, families and professionals, and awareness activities. The direct services include Healthy Families Virginia, a home visiting program for new parents, 800-CHILDREN, a helpline for parents and professionals, Hugs & Kisses, a child sexual abuse prevention play for elementary school aged children and Circle of Parents, support groups for parents and children. Education opportunities are conducted through our training institute on a 2 semester basis annually. Awareness activities include a Family Resource Center containing hundreds of parenting pieces, awareness materials that are distributed at public events and through our website, promotion of National Child Abuse Prevention Month through a variety of activities and events during April annually, and a state conference held annually.
