Programs

              

HFOT assists disabled veterans across the country by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and coordinating the process of building homes that provide barrier-free living and handicapped accessibility. These homes are provided at no cost to the veteran, and each home includes special adaptations needed to give the veteran independence and freedom of movement in his or her home. The organization reports that it has completed 100 homes and is working to build another 100 homes over the next three years.
