Programs

              

As the food assistance arm of the United Nations, WFP works to put hunger at the center of the international agenda and promotes policies, strategies and operations that benefit the poor and hungry. In 2010, WFP aims to feed more than 90 million people in 73 countries. WFP uses food to meet emergency needs and support economic and social development. WFP also provides the logistical support to get food to the right people at the right time and in the right place.

WFP USA incurred joint costs of $640,005 for informational materials and activities that included fund raising materials. Of those costs, $384,003 was allocated to fund raising expenses, $236,802 was allocated to program expenses, and $19,200 was allocated to administrative expenses.
