Programs

              

PPF focuses on improving the world’s healthcare systems through training and programs. Teams of medical volunteers – physicians, surgeons, ophthalmologists, nurses and other healthcare professionals – provide immediate relief by treating injuries and burns, performing eye surgeries, correcting genital defects, fitting prosthetics, etc. The organization works to enhance medical care and development for long-term impact. PPF’s Burn Care program provides reconstructive burn surgery, education and the development of burn clinics, and aims to enhance burn treatments, procedures, outcomes and lives. The organization’s Women and Children’s Health initiative aims to reverse global statistics regarding death during childbirth, poor reproductive health and infant mortality by providing medical education for prenatal care, childbirth, and post-partum and newborn care. The Walking Free program provides prosthetic and orthotic production, direct patient care, surgical education, and sustainable prosthetic and rehabilitation centers to victims of landmines, earthquakes, accidents, birth defects, war and disease.
