Programs

              

MTI organizes medical personnel and obtains medicines and medical supplies for quick response to disasters around the world. The organization also acts as a clearinghouse for medical and emergency response supplies for other agencies involved with disaster relief projects. MTI has offices in 11 countries, where staff work with volunteer teams and local partners to establish long-term solutions to communities plagued by health problems stemming from poverty, disasters and war. MTI provides resources and training in other health-related areas such as HIV/AIDS, family nutrition, agriculture, clean water and sanitation. MTI also trains indigenous health workers who aim to bring solutions to their own communities. The organization works in cooperation with partners in more than 50 countries, equipping hospitals and distributing medical supplies to people in need. The organization also has 11 mobile dental units with the capability of providing dental care to low-income, homeless and migrant workers in Oregon, Washington, and Minnesota.
