GI supports social and economic projects sponsored by democratic social change movements. GI funds community based relief and sustainable development projects in Haiti, Mesoamerica, Brazil, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. GI also produces related educational programs designed to increase awareness and involvement of North America in the issues affecting these regions.
