Together with Episcopal, Anglican and ecumenical partners, ERD serves more than 2.8 million people in over 40 countries throughout Latin America, Asia and Africa. The organization provides relief in times of disaster and promotes sustainable development by identifying and addressing the root causes of suffering. ERD's programs work to ensure that people have available, affordable and nutritious food; address the root causes of poverty by creating income-earning opportunities for families; save lives by promoting good health and fighting preventable diseases that kill millions of people each year; and provide critical assistance when disasters strike, helping rebuild devastated communities.
